Jeffrey Epstein acquired a more modest island - the Little St James - originally in the late 1990s, but subsequently obtained the bigger adjacent island in 2016 for around $22.5 million.
This visual evidence suggest he had formulated plans to build upon the sprawling island by erecting residences, an amphitheatre, an office beneath the waves and a pool.
Visible on the plan is Pillsbury Sound, a marine passage in the US Virgin Islands, marked on the lower right-hand corner.
This development map is marked up in red pen markings and contains a legend identifying different sections of the estate.
In addition to the main plan are what appear to be nine other site drawings and architectural plans, including plans for marina coverings.
