I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex twice world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
